The manifestation of the sons of God

God told the serpent in the garden that the seed of the woman and his seed would be at enmity (Genesis 3:15). This established the principle of two lines of people. Adam and Eve initially had two sons - Cain and Abel (Genesis 4). Cain killed Abel, and was replaced with Seth (Genesis 5:1-3). The next verse answers critics of the Bible and indicates Adam and Eve also had other children. So if Adam and Eve had other children, what made Seth special. Cain and Abel became representatives throughout the ages of good and evil (1John 3:8-12). Ever since then there have been two basic categories of people - the good and evil, or the righteous and sinners, or believers and unbelievers, or the saved and the lost, or the church and the world. In the Old Testament it was Israel and Gentiles. This is what the genealogies of Genesis 4-6 are talking about. Genesis 6:1-5 does not say angels married women and had children:

e. The New Testament teaches Christians to only marry Christians (1Cor 6:15-20,

1Cor 7:39, 2Cor 6:14-7:1, and James 4:4-5)

Romans 8 says that the true Christians are those who are filled with and led by the Holy Ghost. It also says that there is a time coming when the true children of God will be manifested (Romans 8:19-23). This is speaking of the second coming of Christ and the fulfillment of Revelation 19-21. However, there is another possible application of this passage. The Lord and the apostles warned repeatedly that there would be false disciples (Matthew 7:13-29, 2Corinthians 11:13-15, Galatians 1:6-9). What we see happening in the current political world is a reflection in some ways of what is happening in the spiritual world. The polarization of politics is making clear there are really only two sides, and who is on what side. The same thing is happening spiritually. It was always true, but it is becoming increasingly impossible to pretend we are on one side or the other, or that we are neutral. There is no such thing as neutral (Matthew 12:30). It will be manifested who the children of God and the imposters really are. So make your choice, and be clearly identified one way or the other. The hiding places are disappearing.
